What the hell are they playing on the radio now days? Broadcast radio is a dying medium! Radio stations are in the same situation as many other US companies, GOING BROKE! Many have filed for bankruptcy and even closed. To prevent from closing many have even switched up their format! That statement hit a lil close to home. I live in Sacramento, CA with over 2,091,120 others in the Sacramento Metropolitan area and for roughly 2 months we haven’t had a Hip Hop & R&B radio station!!! But we have 3 Top 40′s -_- does that make much sense? #GuiltyPleasure I can jam to some Lady Gaga but damn who wanna hear that shit 10 times in 1 hour! Radio stations are under the impression that the Pop music dollars would come rolling in in the form of commercial spots from big companies. Even then, who sits through long ass commercial ads? Advertisers are slowly learning that we aren’t. They don’t call us the ADD generation for nothing…Broadcast radio is censored and prerecorded. They are not going to begin playing any music of the least bit of substance anytime soon. That’s why I’m so glad to be apart of the takeover: Satellite and Internet radio #Boom!
